Our Organisation
Welcome to the website of Monarchy New Zealand. We are a group of kiwis who believe that New Zealand has the best form of government in the world. We are dedicated to educating people about our system of government, and why it has worked so well for more than a century.
The monarchy is not just a part of New Zealand’s heritage; it is a constantly evolving institution. Its principal purpose is to protect the freedom of all New Zealanders. The monarchy in this country is designed to ensure that citizens always get the last word, and to make sure that politicians do what the people want.
We invite you to explore our site and learn about this marvellous institution that has flourished in our country. Please consider joining us. Help us to spread a greater understanding of the monarchy, and its importance, throughout our country in the 21st century.
Our Aims
- To bring together New Zealanders of diverse backgrounds to celebrate and support the Monarchy of New Zealand.
- To promote, and engage in, the study of the Monarchy, and the roles of the Crown in the New Zealand system of democratic government.
- To inform the New Zealand public of the contemporary importance of the Monarchy for the New Zealand identity.
